How it works: Paste your text, click Set Baseline, then start editing. The counter shows whether your edits increased or decreased your word and character count relative to the baseline. Green means you've added content; red means you've cut content; grey means no change yet.
How to use
Track edits in 3 steps
1
Paste your text
Paste the original version of your text into the editor. The word and character counts update immediately in the stats panel.
2
Set Baseline
Click "Set Baseline" to lock in the current word and character counts. A badge confirms the baseline values. All future edits are measured against this snapshot.
3
Edit and track
Edit your text freely. The "Edited Words" and "Edited Characters" stats show the real-time +/- delta from your baseline — green for additions, red for cuts.
