With Audi Q3 on the road
Looking at the Q3, the DNA of the Audi models stands out from the outside. We are talking about a generously sized grille, dominated by the Audi logo, but also about the daytime running lights, with LEDs, which outline the front optical blocks.
In terms of size, the car can be easily “slipped” through the congestion of the urban jungle, and finding a parking space does not become a big problem.
A minor disadvantage is the rather long front console, which raises small problems, especially in rough terrain, there is a risk of touching the front spoiler, but with a little care, this situation can be avoided.
On the other hand, the Audi Q3 is not a car with very high off-road demands, as it is designed more for the city and asphalt travel. But when the situation requires it, the car is able to overcome even medium obstacles encountered in rough terrain.
The exterior of the car, as a whole, is built to offer a very good compromise between traffic in urban areas and getaways in nature. But let’s see what is inside, a chapter that should provide comfort at a high level.
We also noticed the “lined” interior with leather, which suggested that we would have a comfortable trip. Appreciated was the seat heating system, very useful.
The ambient lights of the passenger compartment, and here we refer to lights placed in various places through the passenger compartment, benefit from LED technology.
The interior light package contains a ceiling light strip on the ceiling, threshold lighting, door actuation levers, make-up mirrors, storage spaces in the centre console and doors, legroom, cup holder.
In addition, the car is also equipped with electrically operated seats, a navigation system, the sound system “Audi Soundsystem2, hold assist function, etc.
We could say that the Audi Q3, the smallest of the SUV family, is a very good compromise for someone who wants a comfortable, economical and efficient SUV in urban areas.
Audi Q3 off-road
The abilities of the Audi Q3 off-road are highlighted by various details, such as the Singleframe grille with vertical slats on the radiator. The rear headlights and headlights both accentuate the muscular line of the car’s shoulders, both of which are integrated at this line. But the athletic look of the car is also underlined by the accentuated wheel arches, which house the refined rims.
In terms of equipment, the Audi Q3 is offered with three equipment lines: Basis, advanced and S line, which each offer different equipment packages. For the exterior colour, 11 shades are available, such as Orange Pulse, Gray Chronos and Blue Turbo. And the range of rims is rich, offering sizes between 17 and 20 inches.
Audi Q3 offers you a range of engines consisting of seven engine/transmission variants (mixed fuel consumption: 7.6-4.7 l / 100 km; mixed CO₂ emissions: 173-123 g / km). These are four combinations of petrol and three diesel engines, which can be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and/or a 7-speed S Tronic.
The most powerful model is equipped with a 169 kW (230 hp) petrol engine and allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 6.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 233 km / h.
The bottom line is that we never get bored of an Audi, be it an SUV, station wagon or sedan. And even if we don’t expect any more surprise, we look forward to any new models like the Q3.
Although BMW came with X1 earlier and Q3 would be the natural answer, cars are hard to put together except for a comparison between engines only for our delight.
The X1 is the car you see most often in the city; you move in the evening from one club to another with her, you drag her to a terrace at noon more beautiful, it has more interesting shapes and the world on the street notices you.
Q3 has the aggressiveness of an Audi, it seems more solid, more imposing and as prepared for the city as for a road to the border off-road. But it’s not a car that gets you in front, that turn heads on the street… at least not as much as an X1.
So it’s pretty hard to say there will be competition between them. It looks different, each one separately and how design is a decisive factor. In choosing a car, each brand will find its customers.
