However, the multimedia system has essentially the same design and logic as about 6-7 years ago, when it appeared on the Mazda3, and the display graphics, especially in the navigation system compartment, seem a bit outdated.
What is certain is that the Mazda CX-9 feels like a model with sound insulation worthy of the premium segment. Not even the engine sounds too intrusive, not to mention the running noises. The Japanese have done an amazing job here!

In fact, if you fold both rows of seats, you can easily put a mattress in the Mazda CX-9, because it forms an area of about 2 meters long in which you can sleep comfortably, in case of adventurous escapades!

Of course, the most interesting element of the driving sensations was to feel on your own skin the new 2.5-litre turbocharged engine from Mazda, developed based on the naturally aspirated engine of the same cylinder, available on the CX-5 and Mazda 6.
The connection with the road and the sensations behind the wheel – impressed us. Usually, at such large SUVs, at a more rational price, one opts for comfort at the expense of the more sporty driving spirit, and as a result, the SUVs are more flexible in corners, with less precise directions.
However, the Mazda CX-9 has unexpectedly precise and informative steering, so that the slightest movement of the steering wheel immediately translates into a change of direction. At the same time, the suspension is set with the firmness necessary for these small changes of direction to be made without a roller. For an SUV of such size, it’s really impressive!

Considering the mass of the vehicle, the brakes seem a little insufficiently strong at the first press. Every time it feels like you need to push harder than you anticipated to stop the car with the intentional deceleration.
Then looking at the diameter of the brake discs, compared to the huge 20-inch wheels, we thought that the model would certainly not have confused some brake discs with a slightly larger diameter, possibly with more pistons for an increased force.

We tell you that the new Mazda CX-9 is one of the most attractive large SUVs in the league of well-equipped ones. If you also take into account the 7 places, then the offer itself becomes unbeatable.
And the truth is that the Japanese SUV comes really generously equipped, seriously biting into the sensations of a premium SUV of the largest size, which costs about 2 times more, and if you take all these things into account, then the money you pay for it is worth it.
True, the model inevitably comes with a slightly higher declared consumption, but those who operate similar SUVs, even in diesel engines, can recognize that sometimes those engines easily indicate 12 litres in the city and 7-9 litres on the route, so the difference in real life is not very big.
Unfortunately, there are no alternatives to engines, neither diesel nor hybrids, but the new 2.5-litre turbo engine from Mazda receives a maximum appreciation for the driving sensations from us.
