Kia Sedona: engine and performance when towing

Kia Sedona is offered only with a 3.3-litre V6 engine with 276 hp and 248 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a six-speed transmission that sends power to the front axle.

Engine response tends to be good most of the time, gaining speed not very fast, but without stopping at certain points. Especially with air conditioning on and not too steep slopes, we did notice a lack of punch when accelerating, although it is clear that these vehicles are not intended to deliver sharp driving sensations.

The consumption we obtained after more than 200 km of road was 6.5 km / l.

It is striking that although it shares an engine with KIA Sorento, it does not share the same transmission as the current Sorento V6, said to be eight gears. 

If it were incorporated we would have a better response from the set without having to stretch both gears and increase consumption.

Kia Sedona: safety features when towing

Safety in Kia Sedona is ensured by: 6 airbags, ABS brakes, traction and stability control, blind-spot detector, reverse camera with rear collision alert.

The steering helps a lot when manoeuvring in the city, as it is smooth, although on the road it tends to feel a bit anaesthetized. On the other hand, the suspension does a wonderful job of filtering out bumps and bumps from the road, there is no constant feeling of bouncing and in curves, the body roll is not as noticeable as in some SUVs.
